As the elective course is the core of the AVID Secondary Program, my challenge is to build upon the foundation laid for you in the previous years.

Whether you are the first in your family to attend college, or you come from a group that is traditionally underrepresented in higher education, YOU are capable of successfully completing a rigorous curriculum, and I am here to help YOU reach your full potential.

I will assist in this effort by supporting you in your coursework, progressing your organizational and study skills, helping you continue critical thinking development, and asking probing questions while providing enriching, motivating activities to make your college dreams a reality.
