Class of 2017 Prom “Vegas: Let the Good Times Roll!” is on May 13th at the Omni Dallas Hotel, Dallas Ballroom. Ticket sales will be during all lunches, April 17th – 28th from 11:15-1:15pm. Prom tickets are $150 unless you have paid your class dues in full. Students who have paid their class dues in full by (December 2016) will only need to pick up a Prom ticket. Dues are no longer accepted at school, just purchase a ticket for $150, or balance owed from partial dues payment, to attend Prom. If you have partially paid class dues the portion paid will be subtracted from $150. Guest tickets are $150. If you choose to drive to Prom, valet parking at the Omni is $12, self parking is $10. There will be a sit down dinner at Prom. After Prom is at Shenaniganz and tickets cost $30.
TICKETS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE!!! TICKETS ARE ASSIGNED AT PURCHASE AND ID MUST BE PRESENTED TO GET INTO THE PROM AND AFTER PROM!!
Please note students must arrive between 7-8pm to Prom. Registration begins at 7pm and dinner begins at 7:50pm. Arrival time for After Prom is 1-2am. Students that arrive after the designated times will not be admitted.
For any students who have food allergies or special diets, you may fill out the Food Allergies/Special Diet form and turn it in when purchasing tickets. This will help the hotel staff in planning accordingly so they can accommodate any special requests in advance as best as possible.
Students must print and have the RISD School-Event Protocol form signed at the time they pick up their Prom ticket. Note: Parent must sign Protocol form even if student is over 18.
Students who are bringing a non-RHS guest must have their guest form signed at the time of ticket purchase.
Students who are bringing a date that is not in high school must complete a background check to attend Prom and After Prom. All background checks must be approved by Loretta Weeks in the Asst. Principal’s (Mrs. Kindred) office BEFORE ticket purchase/pickup. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Note about DAEP Placement: “For seniors who are eligible to graduate and are assigned to a DAEP through the last day of school, the placement in the program will continue through graduation, and the student will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony and related graduation activities.” eStudent Code of Conduct 2016-2017, page 17
AFTER PROM INFORMATION
Parents and Class of 2017,
We want to make you aware that After Prom tickets will be sold the week of April 17th – 28th during all lunches. This is the same time as Prom ticket sales. The cost for the After Prom tickets are $30 and must be purchased during these two weeks. There will be no tickets sold after these dates. The cost is the same for all attending, Seniors and any guest.
Any guest forms filled out and turned in for Prom (the Dance Guest Approval Form and the Background Check) will be effective for After Prom as well. There is no need to fill out additional forms for these purposes. If your child is only attending After Prom and has a guest then these forms must be on file for After Prom.
The following only applies to the Mechanical Bull Waiver:
If your child is interested in riding the mechanical bull at Shenaniganz, then the attached form MUST BE COMPLETED AND SIGNED BY A PARENT for anyone 17 or under. These forms MUST be turned in when purchasing After Prom tickets. If your child is 18, then parent signature is not necessary, but the form must still be completed, signed and turned in when purchasing tickets. Please print and sign the form and send with your child when purchasing After Prom tickets.
