Stevenson's Cub TV Broadcast Team visited WFAA Studios in Dallas to learn more about how things work behind the scenes in a television studio.
Students started the tour with an exhibit about the history of television through the years. Next, they visited the sales, creative and engineering departments to learn more about how the shows are funded and broadcast.
Afterwards, students had an opportunity to sit at the anchor desks, read the teleprompters and try out the green screens. They even had the chance to watch the live, on air programming and how the people at the controls communicate with the on-air talent.
Students were inspired by this real world visit and are dreaming of future careers in broadcasting.
