The Rockwall HS Robotics team, the Full Metal Jackets, recently competed at the FIRST Dallas Regional Championship at the Irving Convention Center. The team competed against 60 teams from Texas, Oklahoma and Brazil. The team advanced to the quarterfinals of the robot competition portion of the event.
They also won the Chairman’s Award which is the most prestigious award a team can earn at a FIRST competition. This award honors the team that best represents a model for other teams and as well as showing the purpose and goals for FIRST.
The team will advance to the FIRST Worlds Championship in Houston in April.
