Springer Elementary Celebrates Librarian’s Day

Springer Elementary Celebrates Librarians Day

In honor of Librarian’s Day, Springer Elementary is celebrating Mrs. Rachael Cutting.  She instills a love of literacy in every child on campus by modeling reading, connecting students to books and resources at their level, teaches research skills, and provides a Makerspace environment to integrate literacy with STEM activities.

She also facilities “A Wrinkle in Time” book club, as sixth graders come during their lunch to have a book discussion.  They also saw the movie together to compare to the book.

Mrs. Cutting is also the UIL oral reading coach, Spelling Bee Coordinator, Stallion TV facilitator, “Battle of the Books” coach, Bluebonnet Readers facilitator, “Read Across America” coordinator, author visit coordinator, Literacy Night planner and book fair coordinator.

We appreciate Mrs. Cutting and all she does to promote a love of learning at Springer Elementary.
