Kids Helping Kids

During the week of September 18-22, 2017, Dorothy Smith Pullen Elementary collaborated with the Mac & Cheese and Pancake organization to help provide kid-friendly & kid approved food to local food pantries via a contest. Each grade level brought a different kid-friendly food. Kinder was Mac & Cheese. First grade was canned meat. Second grade was soup and canned pasta. Third grade was Hamburger or Tuna Helper. Fourth grade was cereal. 5th Grade was peanut butter & jelly. 6th Grade was pasta and canned sauce. Many thanks to all grade levels who brought in a great deal of food. Special congratulations goes to our 6thgraders who brought in the most food items.  The grand total of food items collected was 832. Congratulations to all for a wonderful food drive.
