On Wednesday, March 20th students from Rochell Elementary competed in the RISD Battle of the Books Competition.
Battle of the Books is a reading incentive program designed to encourage 3rd through 6th grade students to read and have fun while competing with their peers. Third through sixth grade students at all RISD elementary campuses are given the opportunity to be on a team and prepare for competition at the district level by reading selected books on the grade appropriate reading list. At the competition, teams earn points by answering questions from books on the list. After advancing through three rounds, the team who answers the most questions correctly is named the champion.
