Rockwall ISD Invites Community to Amanda Rochell Elementary School Beam Signing Event

Rockwall ISD is excited to celebrate the new Amanda Rochell Elementary School with the community at a signing ceremony on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at 10 a.m. The ceremony will now take place inside the gym at the existing Rochell Elementary at 899 Rochell Court in Rockwall. Guests can park in the Kohl’s parking lot off of I-30 E. Staff and signage will direct guests to the gym.

As the second oldest building, the beam signing ceremony marks an important milestone in the growth of the District. The new construction will replace the existing elementary on the same property. 

The existing elementary was established in 1980 as the second elementary school under Rockwall ISD and is beloved by generations of students who have entered its classrooms. The beam signing ceremony aims to invite the community to honor the legacy of Amanda Rochell Elementary and its meaningful impact over the years while celebrating the bright future the new building represents.

The community will enjoy performances from the Amanda Rochell Elementary choir students and words from Trustee and former principal Dr. Sherry Packer, current principal Lindy Lewis and Superintendent Dr. John Villarreal.
