The Chick-fil-A Character Breakfast was held this morning at Springer Elementary. One student from each class was chosen who has exhibited good character throughout the school year. Students received a Character Award and got to take pictures with the Chick-fil-A cow.
WFAA Weather came to visit 6th grade to talk about meteorology and how they use special instruments and equipment to predict the weather. Thank you @ColleenWeather for bringing Weather Minds to our 6th graders!

Last week in celebration of Earth Day, Mrs. Newberry's class was able to schedule a Skype interview with a photographer for a documentary being made about the Amazon and the different tribes found in the Amazon.
Sixth grade students competed with other elementaries in an annual track meet.
First graders in Mrs. Judith Alvarenga’s class researched about community helpers and how they make a difference by being superheroes every day.
Springer participated in a food drive that will benefit "Mac and Cheese and Pancakes." We partnered with Hayes to see which school can bring in the most food.
Our Kinder students were recently learning about important leaders and how they have helped shape our community, state and nation. Rockwall’s Mayor Jim Pruitt visited all the classes and held a question/answer forum. Thank you, Mayor, for your time and community support!
Our kindergarten students have been learning about the needs and characteristics of living things. Using a wide variety of resources, they have been researching animals of their choice. Students gave a short presentation to their classmates. They celebrated by hosting the 2nd Annual Animals on Parade.
Springer Elementary students participated in the UIL Competition on Saturday, February 18th and produced exceptional results.
Students from Springer and Shannon Elementaries were recognized for winning the Stock Market Game at the School Board Meeting on January 17th.
Springer Robotics Team participated in the Rockwall Expo on November 5th and received the Creative Award for their robot design.
Springer Elementary held their annual Spelling Bee for 2017. Congratulations to our top 3 Spelling Bee winners!
Thank you to our Springer Stallions who participated in the sock donation for the homeless. The sock drive was inspired by Dr. Seuss' book, "Fox in Socks." This book was featured in the recent 3rd grade musical, "Open a Book," directed by Susan Schulter.
Superintendent, Dr. Villarreal, recently filmed a promotional video with Springer Elementary for the 21 Day Challenge coming in January 2017.
