My name is Mrs. Barrett and I will be your 7th and 8th-grade Resource and Inclusion Language Arts teacher for the 2022 – 2023 school year. This is my 16^th year at WMS and a total of 21 years of teaching. I am married and have four beautiful girls. We reside in Rockwall and have been a resident for the past 17 years. 

I am honored once again to work with such a distinguished staff and diverse student population. I place a great deal of emphasis on education, which will be demonstrated by my work ethic; I would expect the same from you. I strive to motivate, encourage, and open your mind to thinking about language arts in different ways. We can conquer anything if we work together, and that we will do from day one.

Welcome to our 2022 – 2023 language arts journey and the possibilities that it will offer us. We will laugh, cry, sing, rejoice, and do a countless number of trials and errors to reach our ultimate goal of individual success in the language arts classes. Bring your “thinking caps” and come into the language arts zone; I’m ready to welcome you.
