ABOUT ME

I'm starting my 9th year of teaching and am hopeful this will be the best year yet :) I teach 7th grade science for both Pre-AP and Onlevel. In addition to teaching, I also coach 8th grade girls basketball and soccer. 

I feel very blessed that each day I have the opportunity to get to know some amazing young peoeple and help foster their learning. I truly LOVE what I do. To me, the hardest part of the job is having to say goodbye and entrust my students with another teacher the next year, but it's always rewarding to see and celebrate their success as they get older.

Before I became a teacher, I actually grew up in Rockwall and even attended Williams Middle School and Rockwall High School. I had such a wonderful experience in the district that I knew early on that I not only wanted to become a teacher, but I specifically wanted to teach in Rockwall I.S.D.

In order to pursure this dream, I attended Texas State Univeristy in San Marcos because of it's strong education program, and once I graduated, moved back to Rockwall, met my husband, got married and began working in the district. Speaking of husband, he is also a teacher and coach at Williams Middle School.  We have a 4 year-old daughter, Harper, a 2 year old son, Houston, and our baby boy Hayes, who will be turning 1 soon! We just adore our kids and when we're not busy teaching and coaching, enjoy regular family walks around the neighborhood and trips to the park!

7th period: 2:05-2:50 PM

TUTORING SCHEDULE

Wildcat Time on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:10-11:45

Wednesdays after school 3:50-4:15PM

If one of these times does not work for you or your child, please let me know and we can make appropriate arrangements to fit your child's needs.

*Most mornings and some afternoons I'm unavailable due to coaching responsibilies.
