Welcome to this Podcasting Demonstration page.
Although the term "Podcasting" has gained in popularity, it has nothing to
do with Apple or iPods per se. You might think of podcasting as merely a
way of broadcasting audio (and video) data to the world. Podcasting may or
may not involve syndication (allowing users to "subscribe") and then download
and listen to content.
Here is a brief example of publishing both downloadable and non-downloadable
content. Right-click and "Save Target" on downloadable content. You can
then play the file using a media player, iPod or any other mp3 portable audio
device.
Improvement over traditional podcasting: Play any file using the built-in
player on this web page. Any MP3 file on the server or on the Internet can
be played instantly, without the possibility of downloading the file.
Using this method, we make the file immediately available for playback without
the overhead of, say, iTunes. |
