    Linda Mitchell Duran has lived in Rockwall, Texas, for most of her life and is a graduate of Rockwall High School as are all three of her children. A retired educator who worked for RISD for23 years, Linda is now a consultant and trainer for The National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children which is under the Starr Commonwealth umbrella of training.

    • B.A. with Honors in English/German from The University of Texas at Austin; Phi Beta Kappa
    • Teaching Certification in English/German from the Texas Education Agency
    • M.A. in Guidance and Counseling from The University of Texas Permian Basin
    • Professional Counseling Certification from the Texas Education Agency
    • Post graduate training in Academic Remediation, Special Education, Sociology
    • Certified Specialist/Consultant/Trainer with The National Institute of Trauma and Loss in Children/ Starr Commonwealth
    • Master Trustee Designation from Leadership TASB (Texas Association of School Boards)
