Geometry

  • GEOMETRY -connects students to the world outside of school through a variety of applications and settings. Students have opportunities to develop deductive, inductive, creative and critical thinking skills within a framework, which includes plane and solid geometry and studies of other types of geometry. Students also become familiar with the historical development and usefulness of formal mathematical structure.

PRE-AP GEOMETRY -addresses the essential knowledge and skills for Geometry at a greater depth than a regular level course along with higher expectations for student performance. This course is excellent preparation for college entrance examinations (SAT, ACT, etc.) and further study in mathematics and is designed for students who plan to take future advanced placement (AP) mathematics course(s).
