Family First Alerts™ provides parents with the latest information via email, pager, cell phone and telephone, in the event of emergencies or urgent news.

Rockwall ISD is pleased to announce our new partnership with Family First Alerts, an emergency notification response system for K-12 schools.  The system represents a significant breakthrough in terms of cost-efficiency in its ability to notify parents, staff members and others, instantly and reliably should the need arise.  Family First Alerts contacts registered users through text messaging (SMS, Short Message Service), which can be automatically programmed or manually sent out by school administrators.   This service is unique in its ability to reach any quantity of cell phone numbers instantly and reliably. In the event that no contact is made through cell phone, messages can automatically roll sequentially to a pager, home phone, work phone or e-mail. 

This system is also capable of interpreting text messages into voice messages, providing an additional emergency contact solution.   Our goal is to utilize this effective and efficient communication system as part of our continuous effort of keeping staff, students and parents informed and safe!

Very Important: please note that EVERY family in Rockwall ISD has been registered in the Family First Alerts System.  You must call the campus to update your contact information in Skyward Family Access which will also update the contact information in Family First Alerts. THIS IS CRITICAL TO ENSURE THAT YOU RECEIVE EMERGENCY NOTIFICATIONS THAT RELATE TO YOUR CHILD.
