The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is an advanced academics course of studies for Juniors and Seniors in Rockwall ISD. Students take a total of 7 courses including English, Spanish or French, History of the Americas, Physics, Math, Visual Arts or Music or Biology, and Theory of Knowledge. In addition, students complete an Extended Essay, which is a "high school thesis" of sorts, and some Creativity, Activity, and Service activities.
By meeting the requirements of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, students earn college credit hours and become eligible for many college and university scholarships. More information can be found in the Rockwall ISD International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme Handbook.
