Special Education Department
of Rockwall ISD is committed to
providing leadership and support to the
school and community to ensure that
individuals with disabilities receive a
free appropriate public education as
authorized by the federal law,
Individuals with Disabilities Education
Act (IDEA). Rockwall ISD Department of
Special Education offers a continuum of
instructional arrangements and services.
Decisions are made through the ARD
committee process in collaboration with
educators and parents who are most
familiar with the child and who have
specific knowledge of instructional
practices and strategies.
