Mission Statement:
To develop, in all students and staff, proficiency in the use of technology to acquire, analyze, and apply information; while managing the time, task, and communication of that information.
Program Goals:

To prepare students for life in an increasingly technology dependent world by helping them develop critical thinking and problem solving skills by integrating technology activities in core academic subject areas as an integral part of the learning process.

To assist teachers in becoming technology literate through a variety of professional development opportunities to ensure they are able to master the SBEC Technology Application Standards.

To implement state-mandated technology curriculum requirements (Technology Application TEKS).

To use current and emerging technologies to enhance and support the mission of Rockwall Independent School District.
Instructional Technology Specialists:
-
Team with teachers to assist in planning technology-rich, TEKS based lessons in core content areas.

Create technology support materials for teachers to use with their classes.

Co-teach or assist teachers when they implement technology lessons in their classrooms or in the schools computer lab.

Offer one-on-one, small group, or campus-wide software and technology training.
